A research study conducted in Barcelona, Spain, investigated the physical compatibility between intravenous magnesium sulfate and potassium or sodium phosphate, which are commonly used electrolyte intravenous supplements in pediatric intensive care units. The study found that there were no visual changes, turbidity, or significant variations in pH when the drugs were mixed together. Therefore, the study concluded that there is no physical incompatibility between magnesium sulfate and potassium or sodium phosphate.
