The effectiveness of the Concept Cartoons strategy in developing scientific concepts among fourth-grade students.

Abstrakt: The article aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the strategy of cartoon concepts (Concept Cartoons) in the development of scientific concepts among students of the fourth grade, and to verify this; the research adopted the semi-experimental approach based on the design of the control and experimental groups, where the experimental group included (30) male and female students and the control group also had (30) male and female students from the same school. An instrument was a written test of scientific concepts, while the research material was represented in a guide for the teacher on how to teach using cartoon concepts. The instrument and the material were validated by presenting them to a number of arbitrators. Its reliability is with a value of the alpha coefficient of Cronbach (0.711). The results showed a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the two research groups in the post-application of scientific testing concepts in favor of the experimental group. The results indicated no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average male and female scores in the dimensional application of the test of scientific concepts. The study recommended the need to pay attention to the development of scientific concepts through modern strategies such as the current strategy and suggested conducting studies to detect the effectiveness of the cartoon strategy in developing other science skills and in various stages of the investigation.
