Abstrakt: This study aims to model the mediating role of knowledge management in relationship between in-service training and empowerment of Army managers of I.R. of Iran. In this applied research, the method is descriptive and correlational. ۳۱۰ people (as a final sample) were selected from among ٥٦٠ managers of Islamic Republic of Iran Army as statistical population based on random-stratified sampling method (٦٢ questionnaire questions, people for each question). The research tools were the mobile in-service training questionnaire (۲۰۱۳), the knowledge management questionnaire of Newman and Konrad (۱۹۹۹) and the Spritzer manager empowerment questionnaire (۱۹۹۵), which were set on a Likert scale. Data analyzed through linear regression, path analysis and partial least squares method using SPSS ٢٦ and Smart Pls software. The results indicated that there was positive and significant relationship between in-service training and empowering managers, and also the mediating role of knowledge management has direct and meaningful effect on the relationship between in-service training and empowering managers, in such a way that with increasing knowledge management, the impact of in-service training on the empowerment of managers increases, and vice versa.
