Abstrakt: This study aims to produce STEM-based mechanical wave characteristics e-learning to improve the communication skills of high school learners that are feasible and acceptable. The development research methods used are Allesi and Trollp which consist of three stages, namely planning, design, and development. The research sample at the time of the beta test was 9 students. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and observation sheets for communication skills. Based on the needs analysis at the planning stage, it is known that 100% of the students have cell phones, and as many as 88.9% access the internet every day. All learners have used e-learning such as WhatsApp group and google classroom but never have used moodle e-learning in learning. At the design stage, flowcharts and storyboards are made as guidelines in the development of e-learning. The development phase begins with producing the prototype, conducting alpha tests, and conducting beta tests. The results of the second alpha test obtained an acceptable percentage of 100%. An acceptable percentage of the beta test results of 100%. Based on the results of the e-learning research the characteristics of mechanical waves developed are feasible and acceptable to students in physics learning in high school. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
