Abstrakt: Researchers at the University of Aberdeen conducted a study to examine the associations between height gain during childhood and adolescence and hip shape in individuals aged 60-64 years. The study used data from the Medical Research Council National Survey of Health and Development, a nationally representative British birth cohort. The findings suggest that individual growth patterns, particularly during adolescence, are associated with modest variations in hip shape at older ages, which are consistent with features seen in osteoarthritis. This research provides insights into the relationship between musculoskeletal health and growth patterns throughout life. [Extracted from the article]
