Abstrakt: A recent study conducted in Amsterdam, Netherlands, explored the effects of different intensities of psychotherapy on individuals with comorbid depression and personality disorder. The study compared the outcomes of 25 individual sessions of short-term psychoanalytic supportive psychotherapy (SPSP) and schema therapy with 50 sessions of the same treatments. The results showed that participants who received 50 sessions experienced a greater decrease in depressive symptoms and higher rates of remission from both depression and personality disorder compared to those who received 25 sessions. The study suggests that greater intensity of psychotherapy leads to better outcomes for individuals with comorbid depression and personality disorder. [Extracted from the article]
