A clinical trial, NCT06350448, is underway to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) as a treatment for rhinitis. Rhinitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects a significant number of people worldwide. The trial aims to assess the impact of WMT on nasal symptoms, immune function, quality of life, and adverse events in both allergic and non-allergic rhinitis patients. WMT has shown promise in reducing symptoms and improving outcomes for allergic rhinitis, and although research on non-allergic rhinitis is limited, WMT has also shown therapeutic effects in this condition. The trial is currently recruiting participants in China and is expected to be completed by August 2029. [Extracted from the article] |
