A recent study conducted by the University of Tasmania in Hobart, Australia, aims to determine the effectiveness of a mobile phone application called The Stroke Riskometer in reducing the risk of stroke. The app provides personalized information and advice based on an individual's data. The study is a Phase III, multicenter, randomized controlled trial involving 790 participants. The primary outcome is the difference in the mean change in a combined cardiovascular risk score from baseline to 6 months post-randomization. The research concludes that this study will provide evidence of the app's effectiveness in reducing stroke risk. [Extracted from the article] |
