A study conducted at the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada, has developed a new model for studying prostate cancer at the single-cell level. The researchers introduced an extracellular matrix-Matrigel (ECM-M) culture model that improved cellular tracking during bioluminescence single-cell imaging and enhanced cell viability. This model allowed for the monitoring of androgen receptor (AR) activity and the assessment of heterogeneous single-cell treatment responses to antiandrogens in prostate cancer cells. The study concluded that this approach provides valuable insights into the dynamic nature of prostate cancer treatment responses. [Extracted from the article] |
