Abstrakt: Researchers at Yangzhou University in China have developed a rapid and accurate method for detecting African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) using a portable lateral flow strip (LFS) mediated by recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and CRISPR/LwCas13a. The method is performed at 37 degrees Celsius and can be visualized by the naked eye, eliminating the need for complex instruments. The detection method is highly specific and has no cross-reactivity to other pig viruses. The researchers found that the LFS had 100% coincidence with conventional quantitative PCR (qPCR) in the detection of clinical samples. This simple and sensitive method shows promise for on-site ASFV detection. [Extracted from the article]
