A study conducted at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece examined the factors that contribute to impaired health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in patients with precapillary pulmonary hypertension (PH). The researchers used questionnaires to assess the physical and mental HRQOL of 73 patients with precapillary PH. The study found that patients with PH due to lung disease had the worst scores in HRQOL instruments, and several clinical, functional, and hemodynamic factors were associated with reduced HRQOL. This research provides valuable insights into the impact of precapillary PH on patients' quality of life. [Extracted from the article] |
