The study aims to present the results of using laparoscopic transabdominal pre-peritoneal (TAPP) approach in the treatment of incarcerated inguinal hernias. The researchers retrospectively analyzed the data of 20 patients who underwent emergency surgery for incarcerated inguinal hernia and were treated with the laparoscopic TAPP approach. The study found that laparoscopic TAPP repair in incarcerated inguinal hernia patients is feasible in terms of surgical safety and efficacy, with low morbidity, short hospital stay, and acceptable recurrence rates.
