Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of underwater endoscopic submucosal dissection (U-ESD) as a technique to reduce pain and discomfort during colorectal procedures. The study retrospectively analyzed data from 234 patients who underwent conventional, hybrid, or U-ESD. The results showed that U-ESD was associated with less intraprocedural pain compared to other techniques. Factors such as lesion size and severe fibrosis were identified as predictors of pain. The adoption of U-ESD could potentially improve patient tolerance and decrease the need for sedation. [Extracted from the article]
