Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, discusses a simple and quick solution for Buried Bumper Syndrome (BBS) using the balloon assisted extraction method. BBS is a complication that can occur in a small percentage of cases involving the long-term use of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) feeding tubes. The study evaluates the success of treating BBS using the balloon assisted technique in a series of cases. The results show that the technique was successful in the majority of cases, with minimal adverse events. The authors conclude that the balloon extraction technique is a safe, quick, and cost-effective method for treating BBS in patients with multiple health conditions. [Extracted from the article]
