Abstrakt: This article discusses a survey conducted in a tertiary-care center in Romania to assess the perception of European recommendations for environmental sustainability in endoscopy. The survey included medical personnel and asked them to state their level of agreement with statements regarding environmental sustainability in endoscopy. The majority of participants agreed that measures are needed to reduce the negative impact of endoscopy on the environment, but there was disagreement regarding the replacement of endoscopy by alternative investigations and the use of methods other than endoscopy for trainees. Overall, most of the proposed measures for environmental sustainability in endoscopy were agreed upon by the participants. [Extracted from the article]
