Abstrakt: This article discusses a study conducted to analyze the amount of time nurses in operating departments spend handling gastrointestinal endoscopes before and after procedures. The study found that there was no significant difference in time spent between colonoscopies and gastroscopies. The median staff-dependent reprocessing time was 37 minutes, indicating potential for workflow optimization. The article suggests that using single-use endoscopes in this context could potentially reduce handling time. [Extracted from the article]
