Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, discusses a rare case of gastric plasmacytoma as a cause of abdominal pain. The case involves a 60-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital with pain in the upper abdominal quadrants. CT scan and endoscopic examination revealed multiple submucosal nodules in the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. Histological analysis confirmed the presence of plasma cell myeloma. Gastric plasmacytoma is a rare condition that can present with nonspecific symptoms such as epigastric pain, weight loss, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. The endoscopic appearance of plasmacytomas can vary and may resemble other more common conditions. [Extracted from the article]
