Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, discusses a case study of a 67-year-old female patient who had an antral subepithelial lesion discovered during an upper GI-endoscopy. The lesion was confirmed to be a potential gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) through endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). The patient underwent a non-exposed endoscopic resection using the STER/POET technique, which involved a transverse incision, submucosal tunneling, and closure with an endoscopic suture. The procedure was successful, and the patient was discharged after 24 hours with no complications reported. The histology of the resected tumor revealed a low-risk epithelioid type GIST.
