Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, discusses the use of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) guided sampling in the diagnosis of cystic pancreatic neoplasms. The study included 15 patients with suspicious cystic tumors who underwent EUS-guided fine-needle aspiration or biopsy. The results showed that EUS-guided sampling was successful in 60% of patients and provided histological proof of malignancy. The authors suggest that a negative result can be followed up with a second attempt. [Extracted from the article]
