This article discusses the relationship between esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). The study aimed to describe the incidence of HNSCC in patients with ESCC, as well as the survival rates and potential risk factors. The results showed that 17.7% of the ESCC patients also had HNSCC, with the most common locations being the larynx and oral cavity. Additionally, patients who consumed alcohol or smoked had a higher likelihood of developing HNSCC.
