Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, examines the effectiveness of using an interactive video in the consenting process for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures. The study compared patients who received a video recording prior to consenting with those who received a standard paper consent. The results showed that patients who received the video had a better understanding of the procedure and reported higher satisfaction. The authors suggest that video consenting could be a potential and effective replacement for the standard process. [Extracted from the article]
