Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of capsule endoscopy (CE) as a method for investigating obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB) when conventional endoscopic examinations are inconclusive. The study included 202 patients with suspected OGIB, and CE was able to identify lesions outside the small bowel segment in 46% of patients, including cases of active bleeding. The most common lesions found were erosions, polyps, and angiodysplasias. The study concludes that CE is an effective and safe tool for diagnosing OGIB and identifying lesions outside the small bowel segment. [Extracted from the article]
