Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, explores the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection and clinical symptoms and gastroscopic manifestations. The study included 2863 participants and found that the overall rate of H. pylori infection was 26.30%. While there were no significant differences in clinical symptoms between H. pylori positive and negative patients, H. pylori-positive patients had more severe gastroscopic manifestations. Additionally, asymptomatic patients with H. pylori infection had lower levels of decay-per-minute (DPM), but their gastroscopic manifestations were similar to those of symptomatic patients and more severe than those of H. pylori-negative individuals. The study suggests that eradication therapy may be necessary for patients with asymptomatic H. pylori infection. [Extracted from the article]
