Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, explores the use of toilet bowl images to predict the quality of colon cleansing before a colonoscopy. The study collected 565 bowl images from 100 patients and analyzed various characteristics of the images using MATLAB. The researchers found that the blue color, hue, saturation, and brightness of the toilet bowl image were significant predictors of preparation quality. They developed a two-step model to predict the quality of colon cleansing, which could help improve the outcome of colonoscopy procedures. [Extracted from the article]
