Abstrakt: This article, titled "Cholangioscopy as a rescue technique of a major basket failure during ERCP," describes a unique case in which cholangioscopy was used to free a basket that had become wedged in the common bile duct during an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedure. The patient, a 47-year-old man, had undergone the ERCP due to a difficult common bile duct stone. During the procedure, the wire of the basket used to extract the stone was damaged, leaving the basket stuck in the duct. The endoscopist then used a lithotripsy probe to successfully break up the stone and free the basket, which was subsequently removed using forceps. The article provides a video demonstrating the procedure. The authors of the article are D. Kogias, N. Kafalis, and G. Kouklakis. [Extracted from the article]
