Abstrakt: This article discusses the effectiveness and safety of endoscopic resection (ER) for visibly dysplastic lesions in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The study, conducted at the St. Michael's Endoscopy Unit, evaluated IBD patients who underwent endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) or endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) or hybrid EMR-ESD (hESD) for the management of polyps or IBD-related dysplasia. The results showed high technical success rates for ER, but higher recurrence rates compared to non-IBD populations. The study concludes that ER is feasible and safe for appropriate IBD patients.
