This article discusses the correlation between the Red Density (RD) score, an automated endoscopic tool for evaluating disease activity in ulcerative colitis (UC), and various histological indices used to assess UC. The study included 96 patients from four centers and found a significant correlation between the RD score and the Nancy histological index (NHI) and PICaSSO Histologic Remission Index (PHRI). The results suggest that RD can be a valuable objective tool for assessing histological and endoscopic disease activity in UC. [Extracted from the article] |
