Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of endoscopic negative pressure therapy (ENPT) for the treatment of Boerhaave's syndrome, which is a rupture of the esophagus caused by heavy vomiting. The study conducted a retrospective analysis at five centers in Germany and identified 56 cases of Boerhaave's syndrome, of which 33 were treated with ENPT. The primary treatment with ENPT was successful in 84% of cases, with a mortality rate of less than 10%. The study concludes that ENPT is a promising treatment for Boerhaave's syndrome, showing high success rates and low mortality rates. [Extracted from the article]
