Abstrakt: This article discusses a multicenter study that aimed to assess the detection of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) at higher risk for gastric cancer in clinical practice. The study examined different criteria used by various scientific societies, such as the OLGIM system, Spanish, European (MAPS), Italian, American (AGA), and British (BSG) recommendations. The results showed that the high-risk criteria for CAG varied among these societies, ranging from 3% to 38% of patients with CAG. The study suggests that the British (BSG) criteria may be the most sensitive in clinical practice, but improvements in the histological report are needed. [Extracted from the article]
