This article discusses the use of a self-assembling peptide (SAP) solution for the treatment of post-resection defects in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract after advanced endoscopy therapy. The study analyzed the outcomes of SAP treatment in patients who underwent endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) or endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for non-pedunculated lesions in the GI tract. The results showed that SAP treatment was effective in reducing delayed bleeding and promoting healing of the post-resection defects. The study suggests that SAP solution could be a promising method for improving outcomes in advanced endoscopy therapy in the GI tract. [Extracted from the article] |
