The article focuses on the exploration of masculinity in films through the lens of filmmaker P. Padmarajan, who depicted various facets of manhood during the Golden Age of Malayalam Cinema. Padmarajan's films, such as "The Highway Shelter" and "There Lived a Wrestler," portrayed extreme versions of macho maleness and blurred the line between commercial and art films, receiving critical acclaim despite limited commercial success during his lifetime. |
