This article discusses the internationalization of Colombian Multilatinas and the development of a composite indicator, the Colombian Multilatinas Composite Indicator (CMCI), to measure their degree of internationalization. The article explores various indices and indicators used to measure internationalization, highlighting the need for new indicators and approaches to accurately assess Multilatinas. The methodology used in the study involves a multicriteria approach and the selection of variables based on their relationship with internationalization. The article also provides details about the internationalization processes and characteristics of specific Colombian companies. Additionally, the article discusses the need for alternative approaches to measure the internationalization of Multilatinas and proposes the CMCI as a tool for managers to measure firms' potential and understand their competitiveness. The limitations of the study and the implications of studying Multilatinas are also addressed.
