This article deals with the iconography of the cult of the oikistes, historical or mythical, and his myth, which is depicted on the coin issues of some of the Hellenic polities in pre-Roman Thrace - Mesambria, Abdera and Maroneia. Although limited in number, they allow to reveal individual specificities in particular cults and myths, and to trace their development over the centuries, which is inextricably linked to the processes in society, internally and externally.
