Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers at the Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute for Aging Research explored the relationship between a claims-based frailty index (CFI) and commonly used clinical frailty measures. The study analyzed data from the 2015 National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) and calculated nine clinical frailty measures. The researchers found that the CFI scores were linked to these clinical frailty measures, and the C-statistics of using CFI to identify frailty were generally above 0.70. The study concluded that understanding the relationship between CFI and clinical frailty measures can enhance the interpretability and potential utility of CFI. [Extracted from the article] |
