A report from Tampere University in Finland discusses the availability and use of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the anonymous Tor network. The researchers found that one-fifth of the analyzed onion domains shared CSAM. They also discovered that 11.1% of search sessions on the Ahmia.fi search engine sought CSAM, with a significant number of searches targeting children aged 11 and younger. The study highlights the need for intervention strategies and support for individuals seeking help, as the majority of help seekers have been unable to receive assistance.
