A patent application has been submitted for a vehicle that can estimate and evaluate the emotions of its occupants. The vehicle includes an estimator that performs emotion estimation and a control processor that evaluates the results and controls the operation mode of in-vehicle devices based on the occupant's emotions. The estimation can be based on information acquired from a portable or wearable device associated with the occupant, including content from social media.
