Abstrakt: A recent report from Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida discusses the use of ultrasound-guided mid-forearm median nerve block as a potential treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) in the emergency department (ED). The study suggests that this procedure can provide pain relief for patients with CTS while reducing the risk of complications associated with direct injection into the carpal tunnel space. The report presents a case study of a 44-year-old female patient who experienced continued pain relief 24 hours after receiving the median nerve block. Further research is needed to explore the effectiveness of this approach in managing acute pain caused by CTS. [Extracted from the article]
