Researchers from Xinxiang Medical University in the People's Republic of China have conducted a study on the stability, radical scavenging activities, and bio-safety of cysteine-conjugated hyaluronic acid nanoparticles (Cys-conj-HA NPs). The study found that these nanoparticles exhibited high stability, significant free radical scavenging capabilities, and no cytotoxicity. Bio-safety studies also revealed that the nanoparticles did not induce acute toxicity or an inflammatory reaction. The researchers concluded that Cys-conj-HA NPs are safe for use as a vehicle for delivering oxidizing drugs. [Extracted from the article] |
