A recent study conducted by researchers at Baidu Inc. has developed a method called KnowDDI, which uses deep learning techniques and biomedical knowledge graphs to accurately predict drug-drug interactions (DDIs). This method addresses the challenge of limited known DDIs by enhancing drug representations and leveraging drug similarities. The evaluation results show that KnowDDI outperforms existing methods in terms of prediction performance and interpretability. The researchers believe that KnowDDI can be applied to other interaction prediction tasks in biomedicine and healthcare, such as protein-protein interactions and drug-target interactions, to advance the field.
