Abstrakt: A systematic review conducted by researchers at the University of Miami explores the use of hypophysectomy as a treatment for refractory cancer-related pain. The study analyzed data from 735 patients treated with hypophysectomy for pain relief. The results showed that hypophysectomy can be an effective alternative treatment for patients who have exhausted standard therapies. Radiosurgery was found to be a promising treatment modality with a high success rate and reduced risk of complications.
