A study conducted at Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital examined the impact of delayed removal of pectus bar on outcomes following Nuss repair, a procedure for patients with pectus excavatum. The study found that delaying the removal of the pectus bar did not compromise overall outcomes, suggesting that a longer correction period may be unnecessary. However, further research with long-term follow-up is needed to assess the long-term outcomes. The study provides valuable insights into cardiothoracic surgery and may be of interest to researchers and medical professionals in the field. [Extracted from the article] |
