Researchers at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology in Ouargla, Algeria, have developed a new method for watermarking medical images in telemedicine applications. Traditional watermarking techniques have limitations when it comes to sensitive medical images, as they can alter the image permanently and hide important characteristics. The researchers propose a method that integrates the patient's encrypted photo and fingerprint into the watermark, using a redundant discrete wavelet transform and altering the least significant bit of the Eigen values. The effectiveness of the approach was assessed through experiments on test images. [Extracted from the article] |
