A recent study conducted by investigators at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, examined the relationship between age and chemotherapy recommendation and treatment in breast cancer patients. The study found that younger patients, particularly those aged 18-39, were more likely to receive discordant treatment strategies based on molecular profiling. The research highlights the need for further investigation into the impact of age on treatment decisions for breast cancer patients.
