Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers from the Ministry of Health Malaysia highlights the connection between luteal phase deficiency (LPD) and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). LPD is characterized by a lack of progesterone production by the corpus luteum, leading to short menstrual cycles and infertility. The study emphasizes the importance of additional luteal phase support for PCOS patients to increase the chances of successful pregnancy. The researchers presented a case study of a 34-year-old Indian woman with PCOS who achieved a healthy pregnancy after receiving luteal phase support. This research suggests that supplementing PCOS patients with additional support during the luteal phase can improve pregnancy outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
