A recent study conducted at the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China explored the effects of different durations of moxibustion on lumbar disk herniation (LDH). The study involved 88 patients who were randomly divided into control and moxibustion groups of varying durations. The results showed that moxibustion had a positive therapeutic effect on LDH, with the 30-minute and 45-minute groups showing the most significant improvements in low back pain, dysfunction, and lumbar function. The study suggests that moxibustion can be an effective treatment for LDH when administered for specific durations. [Extracted from the article] |
