Abstrakt: This article reviews pre-clinical studies on the use of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) in periodontal reconstructive therapy. iPSCs have the potential to regenerate damaged periodontal tissue and offer advantages such as unlimited cell sources and the ability to differentiate into various cell types. However, there are limitations that need to be addressed, such as the need for clinical trials and optimization of differentiated-cell functionality. The article discusses the sources of iPSCs, studies showing their potential in addressing periodontal defects, and the use of scaffolds in tissue engineering. It also mentions successful creation of tooth structures using human iPSCs. Further research is needed to optimize cell phenotypes and understand their growth properties and potential. The document is a list of references cited in a dental journal article, covering various topics related to stem cell research and periodontal regeneration. [Extracted from the article]
