Mycotoxicosis, a group of diseases caused by the ingestion of toxic metabolites produced by fungi, is a significant concern in the poultry industry. Among the various mycotoxins, aflatoxins pose a significant threat to poultry health and productivity. This article discusses the etiology, occurrence, toxicology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, prevention, and control strategies related to aflatoxicosis in poultry. Additionally, this article highlights the economic implications and future research directions to mitigate the impact of aflatoxicosis on poultry production. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
