This article explores the synthesis of phosphorylthioformic acid morpholides, which have potential applications as pesticides and herbicides. The authors found that the reaction of α-chloromethylphosphonates with sulfur in a morpholine medium resulted in the formation of phosphorylthioformic acid morpholides as the main products. However, isolating the products proved challenging due to the presence of excess sulfur and morpholine hydrochloride.
