The Blue Chip Winter Showjumping Championships, held at Addington Equestrian, provided a goal for amateurs and an opportunity for riders with younger horses to showcase their skills. Ronnie Lee Jones, a showjumper and trainer, was pleased to have the horses and ponies together at the same show and was able to walk the grand prix course with some of the kids she trains. Good sportsmanship was emphasized, and the sponsors were generous in their prizes. The move from Hartpury to Addington did not result in a loss of atmosphere, and the facility was praised for its improved outdoor rings and new surfaces.
