Percent material learning design using the context of a freight train for the fifth-grade students.

Abstrakt: To help fifth-grade students comprehend the concept of percent in the context of a freight train, this study set out to create learning trajectories and assess their effectiveness. This research was conducted based on PMRI, connected to the 2013 curriculum learning. Design research-type validation studies are the research methodology used in this study. At SD Negeri 1 Palembang, eight fifth graders participated in this study. Utilizing the setting of a freight train, the researcher created three learning activities. Pre-tests, post-tests, videos, interviews, and student activity sheets all contributed to the collection of the study's data. Data were retrospectively analyzed by contrasting the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) and what transpired during the learning process. Based on the research's findings, it is clear that a series of activities produced a learning trajectory that assisted students in understanding the concept of percent using the context of a freight train in the fifth grade as well as understanding the function of the learning trajectory using the freight train context in the percent material.
